Abilities: Intelligence and Wisdom are very important.

Alignment: Any.

Hit Die: d6.

Class Skills:

The professional's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Craft (Int), Knowledge (local), Profession (Wis), and up to 10 of choice at character creation.

The choices (and the key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Decipher Script (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Disable Device (Int), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (3 for all; arcane, architecture & engineering, geography, history, nature, nobility and royalty, the planes, religion) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Perform (Cha), Pick Pocket (Dex), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Seduction (Cha), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language, Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), Survival: Urban (Wis), Survival: Wilderness (Wis), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex), Use Rope (Dex). Class Features:

All of the following are class features of the Professional.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A professional is proficient with all simple weapons and light armor. Note that armor check penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tumble. Also, Swim checks suffer a -1 penalty for every 5 pounds of armor and equipment carried.

Bonus Feats: Professionals gain a bonus feat at 1st level and every third level after that (4, 7, 10, 13, 16 and 19). These feats can consist of any feat that the character qualifies for.
